  1. Volunteer Introduction: Great news! A user at your organization has expressed interest in a pro bono or volunteer opportunity on Paladin. An email will be sent introducing the volunteer to the LSO to discuss training, conflicts check, and any other next steps. Admin users will also be copied on this email communication for transparency and to assist the volunteer with any internal processes and procedures at the firm or corporate. (Note: If your organization has the "interest approval" workflow enabled, the volunteer to LSO email is not sent. You must manually connect the volunteer to the LSO upon approval.)

  2. Placed: The volunteer has been confirmed on the matter and is ready to get to work! Either you (as a Paladin admin) or the LSO can update the volunteer's status in Paladin from "Interest Expressed" to "Placed." If the LSO Places the volunteer, you will receive a notification email with the volunteer's information and the opportunity details. (If you Place a volunteer, the LSO will receive the notification email.)

  3. Partnership Request: If an LSO requests a referral partnership with your organization on Paladin, you will receive an email notification titled "[LSO] wants to partner with you on Paladin!" That email contains a link which will take you to your Partners tab, where you can accept or decline the request. If you accept, the LSO will receive a notification and will be able to share opportunities with the office(s) you designate. (If you decline, no notification is sent.)

Similarly, when you request a partnership with an LSO on Paladin, they will receive a notification email and have the opportunity to accept or decline. You will receive a notification for each acceptance, and be prompted to set the office(s) with which the LSO should be able to share opportunities.

  4. Weekly Activity Summary: Every Monday morning you will receive an email titled "Paladin Weekly Activity Summary." True to its name, this email contains a summary of new LSO partnership requests your organization has received in the past week, as well as new pro bono opportunities that have been shared with your organization in the past week, grouped by LSO partner.

The summary email gives you a quick and convenient overview of new activity that may require your attention. Make it work for you as a reminder to accept pending partnership requests, review fresh opportunities from key LSO partners, and share high-priority or urgent matters with your lawyers.
