The Volunteer Time Tracking dashboard gives administrators visibility into general volunteering hours logged by firm members through Paladin Opportunities, including activities such as mentoring, board service, and other community service.
Firm members enabled for time tracking can log hours and track their own participation, while administrators can monitor firm-wide activity, see which causes and communities are being supported, track progress toward volunteering goals, and access data for reporting.
ℹ️ Note: Time Tracking is an optional module. To learn more, contact your Client Experience Manager or [email protected].
Accessing Your Dashboard
To access the Volunteer Time Tracking dashboard:
Log in to Paladin and click the Reports tab.
If your firm also has Paladin Engagement reports, select Time Tracking from the dropdown. Otherwise, the dashboard will open automatically.
What data is included?
The dashboard reflects only firm members enabled for Time Tracking in Paladin Opportunities, rather than all Opportunities users. This applies to all metrics, including participation rates and hours goals.
Additionally, only opportunities for which volunteers have logged hours through Time Tracking are included, not all opportunities they've expressed interest in.
Time-Tracking Overview
At the top of the dashboard, you'll find a snapshot of your firm's volunteering activity, including hours contributed, top contributors, and overall participation.
Community Impact Summary
This section highlights the organizations receiving support and the causes and communities your volunteers are serving.
View top organizations and causes by hours contributed, along with a visual breakdown of volunteering activity across different causes and communities.
Tip: Use the Actions dropdown to export a comprehensive list of organizations or causes, beyond just the top areas and organizations displayed on the dashboard.
Impact Data
Four tables provide detailed information about your firm's volunteering activity, allowing you to review participation, explore hours contributed, and access data for reporting.
All Volunteers
View each volunteer's name, title, office, total hours contributed, and year-to-date hours.
Use this table to track individual participation, identify volunteers who have met their hours goal, and reach out to specific groups.
Provider Organizations
View volunteering hours grouped by the charity, nonprofit, or other organization that benefited from the work.
All Opportunities with Time Contributed
View all opportunities with logged hours, including opportunity details, volunteer names, hours contributed, provider organizations, and causes and communities served.
Use this table to review volunteering activity across opportunities and identify opportunities that may need further review.
Time Entries Feed
View individual time entries, with the most recently created or updated entries appearing first. This table includes the opportunity title, source, provider organization, volunteer name, hours contributed, dates, and descriptions of work performed.
Sending Hours Back for Review
Hours automatically appear on the dashboard when submitted by volunteers. Administrator approval is not required, but you can send entries back if corrections are needed or the hours don't qualify.
Find the entry in the All Opportunities with Time Contributed table.
Open the row's actions menu and select Send Back for Review.
Confirm your selection.
The hours will immediately be removed from your firm's totals. The volunteer can find the entry in their Review Required tab, make changes, and resubmit it.
Resubmitted hours automatically count toward your firm's totals again.
Tip: We recommend reaching out to the volunteer separately to explain why you're sending an opportunity back for review and what needs to be updated.
