Using the JusticeServer Integration

How to utilize Paladin's integration with JusticeServer.

This integration allows you to send pro bono opportunities from JusticeServer to Paladin in order to recruit pro bono volunteers. Once configuration is complete, admin users will see a tab in their Paladin dashboard called “JusticeServer.”

  • Matters within JusticeServer that are set to be shared "publicly" will be imported to Paladin on a nightly basis. (NOTE: Events are not imported from JusticeServer)

Review and Publish (or Delete) Imported Matters

  1. To view and take action on imported matters, click on "JusticeServer" at the top of the page. This will bring you to a page of "Draft" matters.

    1. All imported matters will default to a status of "Draft," and will need to be reviewed and published by the LSO Admin. Opportunities sent via the JusticeServer integration will not automatically publish in Paladin.

  2. To delete a matter, select the matter(s) by clicking on the checkbox next to the matter(s), and click on "Delete drafts" at the top of the page.

  3. To publish a matter, click on the "Review & Publish" button next to a matter. This will open an opportunity form that will be pre-filled with information available from the matter in JusticeServer. The following fields are pre-populated:

    1. Title

    2. Case Number

    3. Matter Description

    4. Practice Areas (if any)

    5. Causes and Communities Served (if any)

    6. Language(s) (if any)

    7. Expiration Date

  4. Make any necessary edits or additions, select which organizations you would like to share the opportunity with, and click on "create" at the bottom of the form. Your opportunity is now published and shared with the selected organizations.

  5. Published opportunities appear in the JusticeServer tab, and cannot be deleted.

JusticeServer Import Notifications

LSO Admins will receive a notification via email nightly when opportunities have been imported.

Check Status of Nightly Imports

Admins with "Team Systems" access will have an additional "Integrations" page for purposes of checking the status or any issues with the nightly uploads.

  1. On the top right-hand side of the dashboard, click on "Hi [Name], and then "Integrations." This will open the Integrations page.

  2. This page will provide a list of nightly opportunity imports from the past five days.

  1. Who should I contact for technical support?

    For Paladin, email [email protected] or use the chat box on the site.

    For JusticeServer, email [email protected].

  2. Can I use Paladin without the JusticeServer integration?

    Yes! If you don't use JusticeServer, or don't wish to use the integration, there will be no change in how Paladin works for your organization.

  3. Is there a cost to add the integration to my organization's Paladin account?

    No. This new API can be used by all LSOs with a JusticeServer account, and -- like all of Paladin's tools for LSOs -- is provided at no cost.
