Welcome to the statewide portal, the on-demand source for pro bono opportunities across your state! This help article will highlight the following:

Browsing Opportunities

List View

In the list view there are a few different ways to narrow down opportunities

  • Apply filters from the drop downs, including Engagement Type, Practice Areas, or Causes & Communities.

    • More Filters includes other filters, including Skills Developed and Time Commitment.

  • Scroll through the opportunities

  • Search by keyword in the text box.

Calendar View

The Calendar view will display events only in a calendar format, with events on the date and time of their occurrence. Click on an event to learn more about the event information and to volunteer.

Opportunity Detail

Learning more about an opportunity is simple - click on the title to review the Opportunity Detail. Here volunteers will find out a more detailed description, information about training and support, location requirements, and ideal experience.

Expressing Interest on an Opportunity

To sign up for an opportunity, click on "Express Interest" or for events click "I'd like to attend". This will open a simple form for you to fill out. When you have completed the form, click "Express Interest" again to submit.

The form will require you to enter the following information:

  • First and Last Name

  • Email Address

  • Role Type (lawyer, retired lawyer, law student, legal professional)

Once submitted, the volunteer and the legal services organization hosting the opportunity to begin coordinating next steps.

Return back to the portal at any time to continue browsing the new opportunities on the portal. Thank you for participating in pro bono in your state!
