New! We’re excited to announce the release of client collaboration tools to facilitate increased visibility of pro bono matters to trusted audiences.

This new feature will help expand opportunity viewership by allowing law firm pro bono counsel to directly share opportunities with their corporate clients for the purposes of collaboration. Legal Services Organizations will have the ability to choose whether to mark an opportunity as shareable by my team members only, meaning only shared by the LSO to a law firm partner, or shareable by organizations with access, meaning the opportunity is able to be shared by the law firm to their corporate client(s).

Note: This new feature only affects newly-created opportunities. There is no impact on existing opportunities.

Organization Settings

  • All new and existing legal services organization accounts will have their default opportunity sharing set to shareable by "Organizations with access." This setting allows all opportunities the LSO shares with their law firm partners to be shared by those law firms to their corporate clients.

  • LSO admins can change the default organizational account settings to shareable by "My team members only" at any time.

  • Regardless of the default organizational account setting, LSO admins will also be prompted to determine sharing permissions on an opportunity-by-opportunity basis. Even if the organization has a default setting of shareable by "Organizations with access," an admin can choose to mark any opportunity as private (and vice versa).

LSO Opportunity Creation

  • At the bottom of the opportunity form, LSOs will see a new prompt, asking them to set the sharing permissions of each opportunity.

  • This field will be pre-filled with the current default setting of the referring organization. Each opportunity can be set to shareable by "Organizations with access" or shareable by "My team members only" regardless of the default setting of the organization. This setting can also be changed after the opportunity is created.

Updates to Sharing Permissions of Existing Opportunities

  • LSOs can change the sharing settings of existing opportunities via the Share modal under 'Change Sharing Settings." This action can be performed on individual opportunities or in bulk.

  • Note: Opportunities sent to the LSO's Public List on Paladin cannot be unshared.
