The Network Tab within the Admin Dashboard provides a comprehensive view of the law firms, in-house legal teams, government agencies and state-wide portals that use Paladin. You are able to view and manage organizations that you are currently connected to, as well as discover and request new connections.
🤝 Quick Tip: Paladin is a tool to help streamline the management of pro bono opportunities between you and your referral partners. Reducing administrative overhead means you have more time to focus on the important work of building relationships with these partners!
Navigating the Network Tab
Whether this is your first time visiting the Network tab or you are returning, you will find a variety of ways to manage connections. Here are a few tips for managing your network:
Listing of Organizations: If your organization has not yet connected with any organizations via the Network, you will simply see an alphabetized list of organizations available for connection. If your organization has connections, connected organizations will be appear at the top of the list. Click on an organization name to view more information.
Connection Status: To search and filter based on connection status, click on "Connection Status" and select one of the following options in order to filter the list of organizations as relevant.
Connected
Not Connected
Request Received
Request Sent
💡Tip: You can also include keywords in the search bar above in order to limit the list further. For instance, if you want to find organizations in New York that you are not connected with, you could add "New York" to the search bar and select "Not Connected" from the "Connection Status" dropdown.
Managing Connections: The Paladin Network is dual opt-in, which means that both the organization sending the connection request and the organization receiving the connection request must agree to the connection in order to connect (similar to how LinkedIn and Facebook work).
Sending a Connection Request: Click the + Connect button next to an organization that you have not connected with. This will open a box to provide more information on next steps and allow you to send the request.
The organization you sent the connection request to will be notified and can accept or decline the partnership request. An accepted partnership request adds that new firm or corporate in-house team to your list of available teams to publish opportunities to in the future.
From time to time, the firm or corporate in-house team may not approve a partnership request. This may be because they are outside of your jurisdiction, for example. They can decline a partnership request, meaning you will not be able to publish your available opportunities directly to their internal database.
Receiving Connection Requests: There are two ways you will be notified of a new partnership request that has been initiated by a firm or corporate in-house team.
You will receive a notification via email advising you of the request.
This request will also be listed on your dashboard, under the “Network” tab. Until the request has been accepted, the requestee will not be listed as an available team for opportunities to be published to.
Responding to Connection Requests: To approve partnership requests, simply select “approve”. This will add the requestee to the available list of teams you can then publish new or existing opportunities to. Typically, new partnership requests are sent just prior to a firm launch. We encourage you to accept new partnership requests as and when they arise to help maximize engagement!
From time to time, you may not wish to approve a partnership request. This may be because the firm or corporate in-house team is outside of your jurisdiction, for example. You can decline a partnership request by selecting “decline” – the requestee will not be notified of this.
Note! Existing public opportunities will automatically be shared to new partners. (Public opportunities are those that have been published to your Public Opportunity List or for which you have generated a Public URL.) To share a non-public opportunity available with a new partner, go to your dashboard, click the box next to the opportunity and then click "Share."
