Enter External Pro Bono and General Volunteering Opportunities

Have you participated in a pro bono matter or general volunteering opportunity outside of Paladin? Great news β€” you can easily track those experiences in your portal!

Just click the "+ New External Opportunity" button, then choose either Pro Bono Opportunity or General Volunteering Opportunity to get started.

When adding an External Opportunity, you will be prompted to enter the following basic information:

  • Whether the Opportunity is a Matter or Event (pro bono only)

  • Opportunity Title

  • Opportunity Description

  • Referring Organization

  • Contact Information

  • Opportunity Status

From here, you will be able to enter any hours that you have contributed to this opportunity. If you have volunteered on more than one occasion, you can select "Add another date" to input additional hours.

Note: You will have the ability to edit this information at any time!

After clicking "Continue" you will be prompted to select which "Causes and Communities" apply to this opportunity.

For pro bono matters, you will also be prompted to select which legal "Practice Areas" are relevant, as well as what skills you were able strengthen.

From here, click "Save Opportunity" and it will appear on your dashboard.

Track Hours

There are two options to add or edit hours:

  1. While creating the opportunity.

  2. After it has been saved in the "My Participation" table at the bottom of the dashboard.

Log Hours While Creating the Opportunity

On Step 1 of the opportunity creation form, scroll down to "Contributed Hours" and add a date and hours.

View Progress
