The Data Import History page provides transparency to the history of your imports, highlighting whether or not there any issues that need to be investigated to ensure accuracy of data within the platform.

In this article you'll find information on:

Data Import History Page

  1. To access the page, click on your name in the top right-hand corner of the page, then select "Insights Settings."

  2. Click on "Data Import History" from the Insights Management menu. This will open a record of your data import history.

  3. Click on a entry date to view detailed process information, including the filename, the time it was processed, and its status. If applicable, you’ll also see any warnings or errors.

Status Indicators

Success

A green circle with a check mark confirms that the ingest was successful and no action is needed.

Warning

An orange triangle with an exclamation point indicates that while the data ingest was successful, there were one or more warnings that were raised during ingestion. This sometimes occurs when a timekeeper's start date is missing, a time entry references a timekeeper who is not within the system, or other issues. Sometimes these issues can lead to inaccuracies in hours, so it is important to investigate and make necessary updates.

  • To view details regarding the warning, click on the "Download Warning Log" button.

Error

A red circle with an "x" means the data file encountered an error while ingesting and was not imported into the system. When this occurs, the Paladin team is also notified and will start investigating the issue. In this case, there will not be an error log for review, since the ingest process failed.

Data Import History Notifications

If an ingest encounters errors or warnings, designated team members at your firm will receive an email notification. Similar to the dashboard, the email will indicate whether the issue is a warning or an error.

  • Warnings: You'll be prompted to investigate and make any necessary updates.

  • Errors: The email will confirm that the Paladin team has been notified and is actively investigating.

Monitoring the Ingest History page and notifications is essential for identifying and resolving data ingestion issues caused by incorrect formatting or data, ensuring the accuracy of your dashboard.
